ZINCHENKO, UNUSED SUBSTITUTE IN RECORD-EXTENDING WIN

Manchester City utility player OleksandrZinchenko was left on the bench as the Citizens secured another victory in the Premier League. OleksandrZinchenko plays as a left-back for Manchester City, while he plays as a midfielder for Ukraine. The Ukraine national team player was in the starting XI for the Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

Zinchenko helped Manchester City to keep a clean sheet in a 3-0 win over Spurs courtesy the goals from Rodri (penalty) and a brace from the in-form IlkayGundogan, who took his tally to 10 goals in the last two months in the league alone from his midfield slot. The win over Spurs took the current impressive Manchester City victory run to 15 games in all competitions, which is a record in English football.

Ukraine international star OleksandrZinchenkowas one of the players that dropped out of the team for the Everton game on Wednesday night as manager Pep Guardiola made wholesale changes especially in defence to keep his squad fresh for future battles. Manchester City are chasing trophies in four different competitions. Despite the changes, Manchester City had too much quality for hosts Everton. The Citizens had a first half scare from the Toffees before overcoming it to secure a 3-1 win thus taking their winning run to 16 games in all competitions. Ukraine national team player Zinchenko was on the bench for 90 minutes as goals from Phil Foden, RiyadMahrez and Portuguese international midfielder Bernardo Silva gave Manchester City victory to move them ten points clear of city rivals and nearest challengers Manchester United at the Premier League summit. Everton were level as at the half-time break due to the close-range finish from Richarlison cancelling out the opener from Phil Foden. Mahrez scored a wonder goal and also setup the third goal for Bernardo Silva to ensure that Manchester City secured another win.
