YARMOLENKO DEMANDED TO BE SOLD

Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko started the season with an electrifying form but couldn’t sustain it for long.

By seeing the back of the net three times in his first six appearances, the 30-year-old forward offered hope that he would contribute a lot but the dry spell that has been experienced in his last nine appearances has extinguished all hopes of him doing anything spectacular before the season comes to an end.


The former Borussia Dortmund man was a hot cake before being snapped up by West Ham but his labored and uninspired right wing displays of late has led to fans asking he be put back into the transfer list.

Ukraine Beats Portugal to Reach Euro 2020

Ukraine has advanced to the finals of Euro 2020 following an impressive first-half enabled them with a 2-1 home win against Portugal. This led Ukraine at the top of the table with 19 points of 7 games. It is 8 points more than Portugal, the second-placed European champions. Serbia is in the third position with 10 points from 6 games after Aleksandar Mitrovic gave them a win at Lithuania with 2-1 score.

Luxemburg has obtained 4 points of 6 games and Lithuanians lagging behind with only 1 point of 7 matches. Ukraine had to avoid being defeated to qualify for the third consecutive European championship. They had a perfect start with Roman Yaremchuk firing them to a 6th minute lead.

Ukraine Stays 25th According to Ranking by FIFA

The rankings of the national football teams of the world have been once again refreshed by the International Football Association (FIFA). The first three positions of the ranking have been achieved by Belgium, France, and Brazil. Crossing over every other nation, the first position has been taken over by Belgium, followed by France and Brazil in the second and third places respectively. Belgium remains as the leader of the ranking list. The positions for Brazil and France have been different earlier but both of them have changed in the position according to the list that has been recently released by FIFA.

There have been some major shifts in the first ten places for the FIFA ranking. Portugal has taken over the fifth position rising from sixth in the ranking. Previously, Uruguay was in fifth place. The national team of Ukraine remained in the 25th position in the recent FIFA ranking released. In the refreshed list released by FIFA, Spain has risen to the seventh position leaving behind Croatia. They were in the ninth position earlier. On the other hand, Croatia has come down to eighth place in the ranking. Columbia has come down from eighth place to the ninth one. Both England and Argentina have been successful to hold back their 4th and 10th place in the rankings list respectively.
